Pediatric End-of-Life Doula
When words aren't enough.
When a child is dying, human language fails us.
There is no vocabulary adequate to the love a parent feels. No sentence that can hold the enormity of what needs to be expressed. “I love you” feels insufficient. “I'm sorry” doesn't cover it. “It's okay to go” requires a strength most parents can't access.
And the child – especially a young child – often can't articulate what they're feeling either. They want their parents not to be sad. They can see the devastation, no matter how well it's hidden. They want to make it better, but they can't.
Everyone is trapped in an impossible moment, desperate to communicate love and forgiveness and permission and gratitude – but unable to find language that comes anywhere close.
That's where I come in.
What I Offer
End-of-Life Reiki creates a direct connection – heart to heart, soul to soul – that doesn't require words. When I work with a dying child and their family, I'm creating a bridge. Energy flows. The heavy, suffocating weight of fear and anticipatory grief begins to lift.
Not because I'm fixing anything. Not because I'm making death less real. But because I'm creating space for connection that exists beyond language.
A Typical Session
I begin by getting to know your child – not as a patient, but as a person. Who they are. What they love. What makes them laugh.
Then I guide you through a process of energetic connection. You'll place your hands on your child's heart. You'll hold everything you want to tell them – every word of love, every apology, every thank you, every reassurance – and let it flow directly, heart to heart.
I facilitate this connection through Reiki, allowing universal energy to flow through me, through you, into your child. The circuit closes. What needs to be communicated, gets communicated – even without perfect words.
What Families Experience
The fear loosens. Not completely – it's still there – but enough that love can breathe. Parents can look at their child without being overwhelmed by panic. Children can relax into their parents' arms without absorbing their fear.
The dying process transforms from something that happens in isolation and terror to something that can be met with presence, love, and dignity.
As one mother texted me after her son passed: “We got to say goodbye. That's the gift you gave us.”

Animal Reiki & Pet End-of-Life Support
Our animals deserve peaceful goodbyes too.
The grief of losing a pet is real grief. It deserves to be honored.
Our animals give us unconditional love, daily presence, and a kind of companionship that's hard to explain to anyone who hasn't experienced it. When they're dying – or when we have to make the impossible decision to let them go – that loss can be devastating.
And yet we're often expected to minimize it. “It's just a pet.” “You can get another one.” “At least they had a good life.”
I don't believe that. I believe our animals deserve the same presence and intentionality in death that they gave us in life.
What I Offer
Animal Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that helps pets (and their humans) find peace during the end-of-life process. Animals are naturally receptive to energy work – they don't have the mental resistance humans often carry.
During a session, I work with your pet's energy field to promote calm, ease discomfort, and create a sense of safety. I also work with you – because your animal feels your fear and grief, and helping you find presence helps them too.
This Work Can Help With
- Easing anxiety and restlessness in dying pets
- Helping you be present without overwhelming your animal with your grief
- Creating a peaceful environment for natural passing or euthanasia
- Supporting you through anticipatory grief
- Honoring your animal’s life and your bond
- Processing grief after your pet has passed
A Session Looks Like
I come to your home – the space where your animal feels safest, or meet you at your vet's office.
For your pet: I'll sit quietly with them, offering Reiki energy. Most animals relax visibly within minutes. Some fall into peaceful sleep. I follow their lead, never forcing contact or energy they don't want.
For you: I'll guide you in being present with your animal. We'll talk about your pet's life, your bond, what they've meant to you. If you want to say goodbye, I'll help you find the words – or help you understand that words aren't always necessary.
If you're facing a euthanasia decision, I can be present during the procedure to help keep the energy calm and loving.
